@imprint_za ‘s Mzukisi Mbane is the king of electrifying prints. Taking South Africa’s cultural diversity into mind he says he’s been influenced by township energy, and is known for making the kind of clothing and accessories that narrate African stories. See his latest collection on Saturday 6 October at 7:15pm at #AFIJFW. Tickets at link in bio.

Africa Fashion Week

African Fashion International (AFI) organises two fashion weeks: Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The AFI events aim to showcase designers on the continent and also encourage South Africans to buy homemade designs.

It also features the Fastrack program, an incubator that “identifies and invests in the best of the continent’s young designers, by providing them with direct access to mentorships, media exposure and business acumen, through yearlong programmes that prepare them to navigate the fashion landscape.”

AFI Johannesburg is set to take place in October while AFI Cape Town happens in April.
