After three months touring Europe and Africa, with 130+ shows completed in 2011, this will be Blitz's homecoming show, setting the tone for an even bigger 2012!  His third release, 'Native Sun' (Embassy MVMT), drew international praise from top publications for its organic blend of African music and instumental hip-hop.  Since its release, Blitz has hit the road hard, converting audiences on stages like Summerstage & Lincoln Center and festivals worldwide, alongside greats from Public Enemy to Ebo Taylor!

Montreal’s own Nomadic Massive has firmly established itself as a group of premier performers and skilled musicians in a genre that has evolved from its early days of two turntables and a microphone. This multilingual, multicultural, super-group has become synonymous with energetic and crowd-moving live shows.  These musical nomads represent an open-minded Hip-Hop which finds its inspiration in the traditions of the past; combining live instrumentation, samples, and a wide array of vocal styles. In a world where populations become more mobile, cultures are redefined and our sense of belonging is put into question…enter Nomadic Massive.

Originally from Paris, New York-Based, Adeline, described as a “smokin’ front woman”, has a powerful and soulful voice with a stage presence that will leave you speechless. Her music is an electrifying blend of funk, soul and pop. A reunion of old and new school; She is also the lead singer of one of the most acclaimed upcoming bands in New York: 17-piece Disco/Funk phenomenon "Escort".

House of Waters is a Brooklyn based band with a global sound. Drawing inspiration from Africa, India, South America, and jazz, the band is, as TimeOut NY states “a sight to behold.”  House of Waters is hammered dulcimer virtuoso Max ZT; master percussionist Luke Notary; and brilliant bassist Moto Fukushima. These three innovative musicians are redefining their instruments as they excite their audiences.  House of Waters has shared the stage with Ravi Shankar, Tinariwen, Jimmy Cliff, KODO, and more. Their concerts are beautiful and electrifying moments of mastery and magic.

Poderosa means Power. Born in Vitoria, Brazil, Zuzuka grew up in Rio and spent her formative years in the West Indies. She later moved to Brooklyn, New York to study jazz vocal improvisation and work at her poetry. For the past few years, she's been building up the underground Baile Funk, Moombahton and Global Bass scene in New York as a DJ, host and bartender.  Zuzuka makes Carioca Bass music – 'Interracial Music Babies' all her own. Her sound is fierce and fun. With a wildly engaging show, she conjures images of hot summer dance parties on gritty Brooklyn rooftops or up in the Rio de Janerio hills overlooking the sea.

Cocody Productions and Face2Face Africa have teamed up as promotional partners for the show. Cocody provides music and PR services to events showcasing art, music, film, and fashion of Africa and the diaspora. Past collaborations include events with Alicia Keys’ Keep a Child Alive and Art for Africa Sotheby's. Cocody Director Jake Bright will DJ the non-live segments of the January 7 show. Face2face Africa is a media company devoted to restoring Africa's image within the global community. The company currently has three divisions: an online magazine, (www.face2faceafrica.com), a globally distributed print magazine (F2FA Magazine) launching in 2012, and events (F.A.C.E. List Awards, "I Am A Professional African" Networking Mixer, etc). In 2011 Face2Face Africa made history as the first African media outlet to partner with BET International for the 2011 BET Awards.
