Sweet Potato soap

Potato farming in Kenya is a big deal. It is consumed with other tubers on a large scale hence farming and cultivation of the crop is a lucrative venture.

A group of youth from Mukomari village in Eregi innovatively found new ways to make use of the tubers other than for consumption. They currently make use of cassava, yam and especially sweet potato for soap by adding ingredients such as coconut oil, cooking fat and water with other industrial soap making products like caustic soda.
