Tipasa ruins
Containing different types of ruins from Rome as well as other occupations mostly Mauritanian, this UNESCO world heritage site is called the Archaeological Park. Historians say that Tipasa is a site where multiple cultures converged in ancient times.
It was a port before Roman rule. The ruins here can be dated back from the 2nd century BC to the 6th century AD. The notable ruins include ruins of residences and remains of columns of Roman time. There are some ruins that belong to Mauritanian rulers.
