The National Theatre
Unique for its designs and color, the National Theatre in Lagos is the most visible landmark when you have to connect the mainland to the island. Constructed in 1976 by a former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, it was later completed by his successor, General Olusegun Obasanjo.
It is home to ancient art and modern works by some of the country’s most outstanding artists. The theatre is located at Iganmu Road, Lagos, Nigeria.
