Third Mainland Bridge
Built-in the late 1990s and launched by then president, Ibrahim Babangida, the third mainland bridge was once upon a time the longest bridge in Africa until the 6th October Bridge was completed in Cairo.
Its importance cannot be underestimated as it connects the mainland of Lagos to the Island. It measures about 11.8 km in length.
