Burkina Faso is home to some of the complex architectural styles of ancient days, including:
Cathedral of Ougadogou
Considered one of the biggest churches in West Africa, the cathedral of Ougadogou was built in 1930 and took two years to be completed. What’s interesting about this church is that it was built entirely with mud brick but in a European architectural style.
It also comes with a stone-carved statue of Virgin Mary.
Mosque of Mosque of Bobo-Dioulasso
Visit one of the oldest mosques on the continent, the Grand Mosque of Bobo-Dioulasso, the second largest city in Burkina Faso.
According to history, it was built either in 1880 or 1893 in the Sudano-Sahel architectural style that consists of the use of mud bricks, adobe plaster and wooden logs.
