For real diversity and inclusion, these 5 global brands should expand to Africa

Disney – Movies

Earlier this year, news came out that Disney was adding an African princess to their collection to increase diversity. Princess Sade will be hitting our screens soon, but that has made us think about all the great things that could be achieved with Disney Africa office working with African cartoonist, animators, writers, sound engineers and videographers, musicians to mention a few. It won’t hurt a bit being able to give African storytellers the opportunity to create blockbuster animations and movies based on our rich culture. It will be refreshing and exciting as well as encouraging to many people taking up careers in these fields. Many people within this industry in Africa are working hard to put African animation out there, and its yielding result as the content has gained the interest of Cartoon network scouting for talents. Disney is in every part of the world, why not Africa?
