Rupert Weterings, who calls himself a “cultural chameleon,” is the founder of Allied Insurance Brokers (AIB) based in Angola. AIB is one of the largest Angolan property, casualty, life and medical insurance and reinsurance brokerage companies. In 2016, alone, the company handled $45 million in gross written premiums. Weterings, 28, is now in the process of expanding in to Tanzania and Mozambique.
