She served on postings around the world before her death

When Flemister left the Secret Service and joined the U.S. Foreign Service, she served on postings around the world, including “as consul general in Islamabad, Pakistan, and in Washington as the senior State Department representative at the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center,” according to The Post. The platform added that she earned a master’s degree in military logistics from the National Defense University in 2003 and became a senior Foreign Service officer.

Flemister is survived by her husband John Collinge and her son Samuel Collinge. “The level of accomplishments that my wife managed … under the conditions that she lived, that to me says a hell of a lot about the woman,” Flemister’s husband, Collinge, told NPR.
