Janiyah Wilson-Robinson, 21, a TSA agent at Ft. Lauderdale International Airport, was arrested for allegedly pushing a 79-year-old Palm Beach Gardens woman to the ground.
Per the arrest report obtained from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSCO) by WPTV, Wilson-Robinson allegedly intentionally struck the victim by pressing the palms of her hands against her and aggressively pushing her.
The push led the woman to land “on the left side of her backside” while “striking her forehead on the ground.”
The incident prompted a response from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue. The victim was given an ice pack to treat the mild bruise on the left side of her forehead. The woman chose not to be sent to the hospital.
According to BCSO, after being read her Miranda rights, Wilson-Robinson admitted to pushing the victim but did not mean for her to fall to the ground. She explained that the push was not intended to inflict injury.
The report did not specify the reason for the incident.
Wilson-Robinson was detained overnight at the North Broward Bureau’s holding center and was released on a $1,000 bond for a charge of aggravated battery on a person 65 or older, according to officials.

“The individual has been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities in their investigation,” the spokesperson said.
Since the event, the woman has arrived safely at her destination in California, according to WPTV.
