Chelsea-Abigail Owusu Ansah has set a new record for locking the most hair. The dreadlocks expert from Ghana managed to lock 27 heads in a mere seven hours, 51 minutes, and six seconds, securing her a place on the official Guinness World Records site.

Ansah, the CEO of Yoga Locks with over six years of professional hair-locking experience, carried out this amazing task during a lock-a-thon on March 6, 2024, according to Ghana Web.

She clarified after winning that she had attempted the record to dispel unfavorable myths about dreadlocks and to encourage acceptance of the hairdo.

She expressed her excitement on social media, saying, “I am proud and honoured to announce that I have officially set a new Guinness World Record for the most heads of hair locked in 8 hours. Thank you, and I look forward to inspiring others to pursue their passion and strive for greatness.”

Ansah made a public announcement about her accomplishment on September 7, 2024, at the Blue Kiosk in Accra’s Ashongman Estate.
