It was an invention meant to wow the public, but it ended up alienating them.
Ghana’s foremost technologist and inventor, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo on Sunday unveiled a 40-feet vehicle modeled in an airplane format.
The airplane vehicle outdoored during Dr. Safo’s 39th Technological Exhibition in Accra on December 29 comes with no wings and does not fly.
Those are the only distinguishing features from an airplane.
“This vehicle, which comes in the shape of an airplane, minus the wings, will further demonstrate the strides the Kantanka Automobile Company is making, “the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Akwasi Ofori told state-owned Daily Graphic.
The outdooring of the airplane-vehicle with Limousine quality interior décor had got Ghanaians outraged.
Below are some of the reactions.
#Kantanka needs to hear the truth. He should stop playing and focus.

#Kantanka should really make good use of the 10 year tax free. I don’t think it’ll be difficult for him to make these vans for “trotro”. Looking at the number of trotro in our country. How many people are even going to buy those bomb cars and aeroplane car. Ah!

I think #kantanka needs a real business sense of direction to monitize his talent. Is he just manufacturing because he can and to be in the news or what? An aeroplane on land, where is the innovation?, what is he trying to prove again?.

Have a look at the new KANTANKA car built in the form of aeroplane. Really made in Ghana.#Kantanka. https://t.co/3Rv0WkX2WZ
#Ghana government has granted #Kantanka autos free tax for 10 years. And they’re only interest in making aeroplane on wheels and bomb cars whiles we import “Aboboyaa” and “Pragia”. Are they really serious. You could be making small cars where the masses can buy and use for uber
