The grand jury for the Michael Brown shooting  has ruled no indictment in the shooting of Michael Brown. The announcement came late Monday evening after angry and frustrated Ferguson residents waited months for an indictment.

Announcing the decision, the state prosecuting attorney stated that “the grand jury found no probably cause to indict Officer Wilson.”

Michael Brown (pictured) was unarmed when  a white police officer by the name of Darren Wilson  gunned down the 18-year-old in Ferguson, Missouri, shooting him multiple times until he ultimately died.

This spurred a fury from Ferguson residents and many people around the country who demanded that the officer be indicted.  Protestors have been on the streets since the shooting on August 9th demanding for justice.

Governor of Missouri, fearing that the jury’s decision could spur violence and chaos, urged in an earlier news conference for people to remain calm and peaceful.
