Connie Weeden, 59, was arrested by Louisiana State Police on Thursday on suspicion of helping one of the fugitives from the Orleans Justice Center.
It is alleged that Weeden assisted Jermain Donald, who was captured on Monday. Weeden is Donald’s grandmother.
According to investigators, Weeden gave Donald money using a cellphone app. After the investigation, Weeden was arrested upon being discovered in Slidell.
She is being held at the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on a criminal accessory after the fact charge.
Thirteen people have been charged with aiding the escapees both inside and outside of jail, according to WBALTV.
According to Orleans Parish court records, several suspects have been assigned to the public defender’s office to represent them while they are being held. CNN is seeking to find Weeden an attorney. CNN is also looking for attorneys for White, Lenika Vanburen, Randolph, Patricia Vanburen, McKay, and Lenton Vanburen, Sr.
“These arrests were the result of a multi-agency collaborative investigation with our local, state, and federal partners. The investigation continues and additional arrests may be forthcoming,” State police said in a statement released Monday.
Meanwhile, on Monday, three escapees were apprehended: Lenton Vanburen Jr., Leo Tate, and Jermaine Donald. CNN reports that Tate and Donald were the first of the fugitive prisoners to be apprehended after leaving Louisiana.

Donald, who was initially charged with illegally carrying a weapon and second-degree murder, was charged with outstanding warrants for escape and resisting an officer while Tate was charged with outstanding warrants for aggravated escape and escape from custody. The initial charge against Tate was obstruction of justice.
Tate and Donald were captured in Texas after a high-speed chase involving several law enforcement agencies, according to the Huntsville Police Department. As of Tuesday, May 7, eight of the escaped inmates have been arrested.
Two prisoners are still at large, leading to a more thorough search across state lines, more than a week after ten inmates made a bold escape out of a cell wall at a New Orleans jail.
