Take deep breaths

The key here is to get oxygen into the brain. When one takes deep breaths, it allows us to be more aware of our surroundings and slow things down naturally as you must make a conscious effort to breathe slowly. This eventually clarifies your mind and allows for your thoughts to be more aligned.
