Idris Elba (pictured) sheds his nice guy image for the upcoming film, “No Good Deed,” where he portrays a violent criminal who terrorizes actress Taraji P. Henson during a home invasion.

Colin, a “malignant narcissist” who has no regard for life and enjoys targeting women, escapes prison, and after a car crash, knocks on the door of his next victim, Henson’s “Terri.”

While this role may seem out of the ordinary for Elba, this is not his first time playing the bad guy. For those of us who remember when he played “Stringer Bell” on the hit HBO series “The Wire,” we know Elba has the acting chops to pull off such a character.

“No Good Deed” hits theaters September 12th.
