These Are Africa’s Most Respected Passports in 2016

In October, the African Union (AU) launched an electronic common passport to grant African citizens visa-free travel access to all 54 member countries of the umbrella Pan-African organisation. The AU says it plans to get the new passports across to every African citizen by the end of 2018.

Aside from visa-free travel access across the continent, though, how many nations outside of Africa can an African visit without an entry visa? The answer actually varies from country to country. A South African passport holder, for example, can visit at least 90 different countries around the world without a visa, while a Ugandan national can visit no less than 61 countries without a visa.
