A mother received text messages claiming that her 13-year-old daughter was dead before she ultimately lost contact with the juvenile.
Per FOX6 News Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Police Department is now entreating the public to step forward with information that could lead to the discovery of the whereabouts of Jamyla Norwood, who is said to be critically missing and endangered.
The last time Jamyla and her family established contact was on Monday, July 28. She was last suspected to have been within the 24th and Burleigh location.
Authorities said that around 3:50 p.m., Jamyla’s mother was informed through several text messages from unknown numbers that her daughter was deceased. During a phone conversation with Jamyla, she heard another female talking in the background, and that person said she was going to assault her daughter. She also heard the female saying they were going to push her daughter down the stairs.

She ultimately lost contact with her daughter after hearing what the female in question said. Jamyla’s mother fears her daughter is not safe.
Jamyla’s identification is listed as female, Black, and 5’3″ with a weight of about 120 pounds, FOX6 News Milwaukee reported. She had on a pink bonnet, black T-shirt, blue jean pants, and yellow and black shoes the last time she was seen.
Police also said she is without cash or transportation options. She is expected to be walking.
