The Nike sneakers Kobe Bryant wore during one of the most impressive moments of his NBA career are hitting the auction block, and they could reportedly sell for more than $600,000.
The size 13 sneakers were worn by the NBA legend during the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors game on April 12, 2013—a match that goes down as iconic in basketball history.
That was the game in which Bryant tore his Achilles in the fourth quarter but went on to stun fans by sinking two free throws before he limped off the court.

The moment was one many still fail to comprehend, and it showcased the principles Kobe has always preached in commitment to the game.
Though he suffered a devastating injury, the late Hall of Famer made sure he completed his duty at the free-throw line and tied the game at 109 with three minutes to go.
Those Nikes of Kobe Bryant are now being offered by Sotheby’s, with reports indicating they could sell for over $600,000.
“There is no moment in Kobe’s career more emblematic of the ‘Mamba Mentality’ than the ‘Achilles Game,’ a testament to his unyielding commitment to excellence and competitive spirit,” Brahm Wachter, Sotheby’s Head of Modern Collectibles, said in a statement.
“Although blessed with a natural gift for the game of basketball, what really set him apart from the competition was his unrelenting drive to make himself better every day,” Wachter added. “These game-worn sneakers encapsulate the remarkable fortitude that made him one of the greatest to ever play the game.”
