December is probably the best time to travel to Africa. Expats return home, professionals unwind on holiday, and the continent oozes with the beat of the many large music festivals organized to capture the vibe. American recording artist Lauryn Hill (pictured) will be spending #DecemberInGhana in her return to the African continent with a performance at Afrobeats Big Weekend Festival in Accra.

Closing out a packed weekend of Ghanaian and Nigerian artists, Ms. Hill takes the stage on December 14th, and the sponsor of the festival is Accra Brewery Limited – maker of the popular Club Beer.
Ms. Hill has performed in Africa twice before: Ethiopia in 2005 and South Africa in 2012.
When Ms. Hill comes to Ghana, she should be prepared to make a big impression, because last time she performed in Africa, she was boo’ed by fans at the Capetown International Jazz Festival.
