The Carter Family

Billionaire musician turned entrepreneur Jay-z and wife Beyonce make up the Carters in the United States. The Carter family has an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion.

In 2018, the pair released their debut album, “Everything is Love.” They also worked together on two global tours and also produced a number of joint projects.

In addition to doing joint projects, the couple has their solo projects. Jay-Z combines his music with business; his business ventures account for a large chunk of his net worth, which is estimated at $2.5 billion.

His net worth comes from a range of sources, including his music catalog, business empire, and endorsement deals. The business empire includes holdings in Uber, SpaceX, and now, Square. He also has shares in Oatmilk company, Oatly, which is expected to IPO this year for a $10 billion evaluation. Additionally, Jay-Z’s music catalog, which has over 300 songs, is worth $75 million.

Beyonce on the other hand, has a personal net worth of $400 million. Like her husband, she built a career and wealth in and outside the studio. She and her husband have jointly invested in a number of businesses.

In 2015, she established an on-demand meal delivery service which was based on vegan food culture called 22 Days Nutrition.

Beyonce also launched her own fragrance line called Beyonce Heat. According to a Forbes report, she earned 400 million dollars from the product.

However, her most important stream of income is the music streaming service, Tidal. According to reports, a chunk of her money comes from Tidal.

Aside from her businesses, Beyonce also makes money from other sources like endorsement deals and posting on social media. She emerged as one of the two highest-paid Black celebrities on Instagram.

In 2019, Beyonce signed a 60 million dollar contract with Netflix, which then streamed her Coachella performance. She has also appeared as the face of brands like Giorgio Armani and Tommy Hilfiger.

She also has a partnership with Adidas. The music icon further has a streaming music service, and has served as a spokesmodel for L’Oreal. She also promotes Pepsi and is into film production. She recently announced that she was investing in a hemp farm to obtain her own CBD.
