Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion has started a new business by opening her first Popeyes restaurant. This turns her popular work with the fast-food company into a real business location.

The new store opened on New Year’s Eve in the very busy South Beach area of Miami. This strategic location choice will be a significant draw for customers.

This is a major step in her successful partnership with the fast-food chain, which began in 2021.

Their first collaboration was the “Hottie Sauce,” a limited-edition sauce that became an instant, viral sensation. The successful launch, which included a popular mukbang video by the rapper, proved her influence and commercial power, according to Complex.

Earlier this year, Megan hinted at her entrepreneurial move with a TikTok post in April 2025, teasing the Miami location. In the video, she humorously addressed the challenge of managing her dual career as both a recording artist and a business owner, underscoring that this franchise venture is a serious business investment, not just a celebrity endorsement.

Megan Thee Stallion announced her new role as a franchise owner on Instagram, sharing the day’s highlights and proudly calling the location “Thee Littest Popeyes.”

“Prepping Thee Hot Staff before THEE OFFICIAL FIRST EVER MEGAN THEE STALLION POPEYES OPENED,” Megan shared. “I’m so excited, so proud, and I just feel so much gratitude! Hottiessss, I’m officially a franchise owner. Come to South Beach, Miami, and dine with us.”

Megan Thee Stallion showed dedication to her new business, choosing to be personally involved from the beginning—a departure from many celebrity-endorsed ventures.

In the video, Megan walked around greeting the staff one by one in her Popeyes-branded crop top, which she wore with an orange updo to match. “When we came in here, it was a hole in the ground,” the Grammy-winning artist said, likely referencing the construction site she showed the Hotties in April 2024, according to Rap Up.

At the grand opening, the Houston native went above and beyond, personally greeting every employee and making an effort to learn their names.

“Oh, yes, I do,” she replied in a moment that quickly resonated with fans online, showcasing the leadership style she’s bringing into her new role.

Megan celebrated the opening by interacting with fans, motivating her staff, and personally serving customers behind the counter. She light-heartedly suggested to her team that she might visit often to check on the operation.

The 30-year-old rapper is calmly building her brand as an entrepreneur. In 2025, she launched her swimwear line, Hot Girl Summer, with Walmart. According to Cosmopolitan, the collection featured bikini sets, two-pieces, and cover-ups in metallic finishes, vibrant hues, and striking details. A piece ranged from just $16 to $28.

She told the outlet at the time, “Everyone knows I love being near a pool or a beach, so I finally decided to turn my passion into a business and create my own swimwear brand,” Megan said. “It was only right that we kick off Hot Girl Summer with this launch and provide Hotties of all body types with the official Hot Girl uniform. I used to shop at Walmart growing up, so it’s a full circle to have my own line available at Walmart, and I’m so grateful for their support.”

Additionally, Megan launched her tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas, on her 30th birthday.

When asked her motivation for the alcohol brand, Megan told Forbes, “Well, everybody knows I’m hot girl culture. I like to have fun. Everybody knows that I am a vibe curator. When you go to parties, in my experience, everybody’s drink of choice is tequila. I feel like it’s just a universal happy drink. And I have always loved a good reposado. It’s my favorite. So I decided, I need to be the one bringing the vibe to parties–with gifts. So that’s how I came up with Chicas.”
