Two teens have been arrested for the suspected murder of a South Florida high school student, Andrea Camps, over three pairs of ‘Yeezy’ Adidas sneakers.
Adrian Cosby and George Walton, both 19, are facing multiple felony charges, including second degree murder for the death of the 18-year-old.
They were arrested on Saturday and detained into a Miami-Dade jail early Sunday. The police said Camps and her boyfriend, Sergio Berben, had an arrangement with the suspects on social media to sell to them the three pairs of ‘Yeezy’-styled trainers for $935.
Camps and Berben then drove in the latter’s car on April 7 to meet Cosby and Walton near an abandoned house at Southwest 270th Street and 127th Court, The Miami Herald reported.
Walton then approached the couple and requested that he tried the shoes on and then Cosby crept up and fired, striking Camps in the torso. Camps, who was in her last year of high school, later died in hospital.

Nicknamed “dimples” Camps, friends described her the “light in the room.” “She was beautiful. She was so bright. She was so soulful and so encouraging, so helpful, so friendly.”
