The spirit industry continues to see the participation of several NBA stars, including LeBron James – the owner of Lobos 1707 Tequila, Michael Jordan – the founder of Cincoro Tequila, and James Harden – the founder of J-Harden Wines

The latest NBA star to venture into the spirit industry is Warrior, Stephen Curry. Although information about the whiskey brand is scanty, the hint of the venture first appeared on Instagram via the account, ‘Coming Whiskey,’ which posted a picture of the label that was submitted to the TTB for approval.

Curry’s involvement in the whiskey brand is seen in a quote attributed to him on the back label, which reads: “I’ve learned over the years that life is best enjoyed in the close company of others. It’s those moments of celebrating a milestone, enjoying endless laughter into the evening, or simply an unpredictable night of carrying on that make for a memory you can always reflect on.”

“I’ve long found that these unforgettable evenings are often best enjoyed with a rich and nuanced bourbon in hand, which is why I’m proud to have helped carefully craft a new signature Kentucky Straight Bourbon.”

According to the Robb Report, the whiskey brand, called Gentleman’s Cut Game Changer, was distilled, aged, and bottled in Boone County, Kentucky, and has been described as “polished and smooth.” It has been distilled for at least five years, and is made up of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. For now, there is no clear date on when the whiskey brand will be released into the market.

Since joining the Warriors, Curry has consistently ranked among the highest-paid players. Curry started with the Warriors in 2009 as the seventh overall pick in the draft and has since accumulated a huge fortune.

In August 2021, he signed a contract extension worth 215 million dollars over four years and would earn 48 million dollars in 2022/23, continuing to rise until earning 59.6 million dollars in the final year of the contract in 2025/26, Marca stated.

Curry has endorsement partners such as Under Armour, Chase, Vivo, eHi, Nissan/Infiniti, Brita, Bubble, and JBL, and generates an estimated $42 million in off-court income.

According to Forbes, Under Armour, which pays Curry $20 million a year, launched its Curry Brand in November 2020, hoping to challenge Nike’s Jordan Brand. In 2018, Sony Pictures announced a multi-year development and production deal with Curry that is expected to develop and produce film and television projects with a focus on family, faith, and sports themes.

Curry was born Wardell Stephen Curry II on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio. His father, Dell Curry, a successful NBA player, was the all-time leading scorer for the Charlotte Hornets. Curry attended Queensway Christian College and joined the basketball team, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

His professional NBA career started when he signed for the Golden State Warriors. Before that, he joined the Toronto 5-0, a team that played matches with other clubs across Ontario, and won the provincial championship.

After high school, Curry attended Davidson College and played for the Wildcats. In college, he became one of the NCAA’s highest scorers and also set new records for scoring three-pointers. In his second year, he won his first NCAA Tournament with the Wildcats.

The NBA star has been married to Ayesha Alexander since 2011; they have three children together. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Curry regularly plays in celebrity golf tournaments and has played alongside Barack Obama. He is also a fan of the English Premier League soccer club Chelsea F.C.
