Nicki Minaj says she has contemplated quitting music because of the many criticisms she had to endure at the start of her career.
Looking back, however, she is happy about not throwing in the towel. The rap queen made this known during a conversation with Vogue Italia magazine, touching on aspects of her life and career.
“I’ve heard every possible criticism about me. I’ve thought about quitting so many times…I’m glad I didn’t. I hope my story can be an inspiration and push kids, adults, anyone, not to give up,” she was quoted.

She also touched on an aspect of motherhood, saying she is working hard to provide for her family.
“As a woman, I put off becoming a mother…A lot of women in the industry, especially older than me, never had children. Some don’t regret it, but others do. I put it off. And I didn’t go to every Thanksgiving, every Christmas, or birthday party because I had to work to support my family.
“I think the price was not having a ‘normal’ life. Things are different now, because I can give my son things I never had, but there are things I want to make sure he has, and I still need to figure out how to give them to him,” the Anaconda singer added.

In October last year, the rap goddess celebrated her son’s fourth birthday with adorable pictures of the little boy on Instagram.
The photo collection showed the son, also known as Papa Bear, spending time with his father, Kenneth Petty. In one of the pictures, the child was sitting behind a car steering wheel, pretending to drive.
The Run The World singer reportedly gave birth to her baby boy on September 30, 2024, in Los Angeles, according to sources close to the family.

Early this year, the singer’s supposed former manager accused her of “assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”
In addition to other accusations, Garret also claimed the celebrated performer denied him access to the tour bus and left him stranded in Detroit without transportation in April 2024.
“At this time, a representative for Nicki said no complaint had been served upon the singer but expressed hope that the matter would be resolved swiftly in Nicki Minaj’s favor.

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour was full of drama, as she was arrested in Amsterdam and accused of carrying drugs.
She recorded the incident on Instagram Live as she was taken into custody but denied the claims of drug possession.
