It may come across as bizarre, but, it’s true, as per a report by the police in Indiana, who discovered that a 32-year-old ex-convict, Christopher Boyd, was concealing a gun in his anal cavity. The vehicle he was in was pulled over at 2 a.m. due to an obscured license plate, as reported in a police document obtained by the Smoking Gun.

During a police pat-down of Boyd, who had a concealed gun in his anal cavity during a traffic stop in Evansville, officers also discovered a small bag containing multiple pills in his right sock, the police said.

Boyd allegedly stated that these pills were Percocets obtained from his “Aunt Trish” to manage pain from a “bullet lodged in his spine.” The report indicated that Boyd claimed difficulty in spreading his legs during the search due to his spinal injury, according to the New York Post.

After Boyd was taken into custody, officials observed him walking with a limp and clenching his buttocks. A subsequent body scan revealed a large object in his groin area, and a strip search uncovered a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard, a .380-caliber gun weighing less than a pound and measuring about 5 inches long, concealed in his rectum, the police said.

The manufacturer promotes the $400 firearm as lightweight and easy to carry. The police report did not clarify whether the gun was loaded when found.

Boyd, who had a history of convictions including attempted murder, burglary, and domestic battery, was prohibited from carrying firearms.

Police also found out that Boyd had two bags of marijuana “tucked next to his scrotum,” a violation given the illegality of recreational marijuana in Indiana. Facing multiple felony charges, including drug, gun, and trafficking offenses, Boyd was being held without bond at Vanderburgh County Jail.

Neither the driver of the pulled-over vehicle nor another passenger faced charges in connection to the incident.
