Queen Latifah’s net worth, pay per film and more will leave you stunned

Queen Latifah has an amazing career in film, TV and music. She enjoys achieving success in a field dominated by men. Her career in music started in the 80s following the release of her debut single, “Wrath of My Madness,” in 1988. Her rap lyrics centered on issues of Black women like domestic violence, harassment on the streets, and relationship problems.

Her debut album “All Hail the Queen” was released in 1989. After releasing two more albums, she was signed by Motown Records for her fourth studio album, “Order in the Court.” She would later shift to soul and jazz music and in 2004, she released “The Dana Owens Album.”

While doing music, she also appeared in several high-profile films and television shows. She guest-starred in two episodes of the second season of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” She has since starred in numerous movies, including “House Party 2,” “Set It Off,” “Brown Sugar,” “Bringing Down the House,” “Taxi,” “Barbershop 2: Back in Business,” and many more.

Latifah has made quite a fortune as she rose to fame in the late 1980s. According to Celebrity Net Worth, she has a net worth of $70 million. Reports say she makes more than $8 million a year from album sales and movies.

Aside from her career in music and movies, Latifah has other ventures contributing to her massive fortune. The Cosmopolitan reports that she has millions tied up in real estate in New Jersey and Los Angeles. She has also invested in a number of luxurious cars, including the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, which is worth around $400K, according to TMZ.

Another source of revenue for Queen Latifah is working with brands. The Hollywood Reporter says she made up to $1 million for a Pizza Hut ad nearly a decade ago. She also has a partnership deal with Audible on a series about community activism. Stories that bring hope and entertainment to those at home who have had a tough year will be shared, she said.

In addition, the Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated actress, recording artist, producer, author and entrepreneur has a multi-year deal with CoverGirl. She first partnered with CoverGirl in 2001 and went on to launch makeup collections for the brand, including Clean Foundation and Outlast Lipcolor.

“It feels like a full circle moment to be back with my COVERGIRL family. I’m excited to reconnect and collaborate with them once again to bring inclusivity to the forefront every step of the way, from product creation to ad development to product dissemination. I’m excited to be back and look forward to what we can create together!”

Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens on March 18, 1970, in Newark. Her parents divorced when she was only 10 years old. She played basketball while in high school and took classes at Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Her career in film, TV and music has earned her several awards, including a Golden Globe award, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, two NAACP Image Awards, a Grammy Award, multiple additional Grammy nominations, an Emmy Award nomination, and an Academy Award nomination. She became the first hip hop artist to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
