The writer, social critic and activist, James Baldwin, was a man who dared to operate and excel in a space that America’s black person was originally excluded from.
Baldwin’s great intellect made him a thorn in the flesh of his detractors and point of inspiration for those who accepted his genius sans disdain.
Born in Harlem, New York on August 2, 1924, Baldwin spent a large part of his 63 years blessing the world with his profoundness in debates, speeches as well as appearances in the media.
