Presenter calling out the need for female director nominees
Actress Natalie Portman exclaimed “the all-male nominees” upon her finishing the recitation of the list for Best Director nominees. Singer Barbra Streisand tweeted about how her nomination in 1984 for Yentl was the last time a woman won the award. Change has arisen, but there is still work to be done.
