Wearing all black
The implementation of all black attire to the awards was a sign of esprit de corps, strength, and high character. It’s difficult to be a voice amongst the voiceless and those who choose to put their comfort and well-being on the line should be lauded for showcasing the damaging effects of sexual assault and sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is rampant in many industries today – not just entertainment.
Strength can be exhibited by force or subtlety. There was a combination of the aforementioned present at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards. As long as individuals keep fighting to bring awareness to injustices and formulate solid plans to combat these injustices, we are heading in a great direction.
