Six iconic people you did not know are from Chad

Koulsy Lamko

Lamko is a playwright born in Dadouar, Chad.  After fleeing Chhad in 1979, he headed to Burkina Faso where he worked with Thomas Sankara, promoted theatre and founded the International Festival of Theatre for Development. He has written a number of books including his only novel, La phalène des collines (“The butterfly of the hills“), about the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
