Africans have suffered in the hands of greedy leaders out to take power no matter what. Some of these leaders have led wars that have left the common people dead, injured for life as well as with long-term emotional trauma.

These warlords take advantage of vulnerabilities such as tribalism, illiteracy, religion as well as the concept of scarcity to wage wars for their personal causes. Others are quite influential enough to look for help from external powers, who have the means and ways to support their bloodletting activities.
