Buffalo Thorn: This tree mostly grows in Senegal. It is especially grown on termite mounds. Its berries are strictly eaten in times of life-threatening starvation while its leaves are used as an aphrodisiac to improve one’s sex life! The roots are also used in the rural areas to treat dysentery and prevent elephantiasis. Meanwhile, the bark of the Buffalo Thorn tree is often used for a controversial effect – the termination of unwanted pregnancies.
