Producer and rapper Swizz Beatz hopped on social media on Wednesday to emphatically state that his marriage to singer Alicia Keys was not on the rocks despite those rumors.
Per PEOPLE, gossip YouTuber Misstee had claimed in a video in July that Keys, 44, had filed for divorce from Swizz, 46, because of his infidelity and having a child out of wedlock. Misstee also stated that the rumors were from social media.
The rumors additionally gained traction after radio host Rickey Smiley spoke about it. Swizz’s latest comments came after he took to Instagram to post a video of himself and Keys dancing and laughing. The video was re-shared by The Shade Room, and some of the comments on it included rumors about their divorce.
But Swizz shut down the rumors in the comments section. “Everybody knew we was Divorced but us,” the Money in the Bank rapper wrote with cry-laughing emojis. “We found out on our 15yr anniversary vacation.”

He added: “People rather believe fake gossip instead of the truth because they’re miserable we have nothing to do with that !!! Bless up !!”
Swizz and Keys married in July 2010, and they share two sons. Swizz also has three other children from his past relationships.
In July, Keys took to Instagram to celebrate her husband and their 15th wedding anniversary. “We are sublime / Devoted / Longer than time / You are mine / I am yours /And yet we set each free / Nowhere else / Nowhere more / I am wanting to be / Look at us / And see / Truth / Love / And beauty / Forever yours / Completely / Forever yours / Completely,” she captioned alongside photos of them. “What a time / What a time / We are sublime.”
“15 years of magic!! And we’re just getting started,” she concluded.
