In what is a perpetually vicious cycle, albinos who are born in these parts of Africa are denied the chances any other kid needs to become a meaningful player in society.

This is easy for the societies to do because albinos are ‘othered’.

Without the empowerment that comes from education and jobs, albinos become easy prey for those seeking to harm them.
