Ngina Kenyatta
Known widely as Mama Ngina, she is the former First Lady of Kenya (wife of Jomo Kenyatta) and the mother of the fourth President of Kenya – Uhuru Kenyatta. Ngina controls most of the businesses left behind by her late husband. The family business empire spans several industries, including real estate, hospitality, finance, and media.
The family owns Mediamax Group, one of the top media platforms in Kenya. The Heritage Hotels – a group of luxury hotels and resorts spread across the country; including Mara Explorer, Kipungani Explorer, Great Rift Valley Lodge, Mara Intrepids, Samburu Intrepids, Voyager Beach Resort, and Voyager Ziwani.
