Morocco has maintained its ranking at 61st in the GCI 2019 with a score of 36. notwithstanding its overall ranking below the global average, it has improved its score for 4G investment over the last year.
Reportedly, 60% of the country area is covered by LTE mobile technology and it has some of the best 4G coverage in Africa just like South Africa.
According to the GCI, mobile broadband subscription saw a two-point improvement, as did smartphone penetration, even though broadband became less affordable this year.
The country’s internet usage has also expanded over last year.
