Rosalind Brewer

Brewer made it to 49th spot on the list for being the first woman and first African American to serve as COO of Starbucks. Since assuming the role, she has helped implement some policies and facilitated racial bias training for employees in over 8,000 stores.

The boss lady has introduced sustainable initiatives like the introduction of a reusable version of the popular Starbucks holiday cup, according to Forbes.

She is not new to heading chain stores. She was the CEO of Sam’s Club and was instrumental in the implementation of advance online ordering of groceries. Meanwhile, in 2019, Brewer was the only person of color on Amazon’s board.
