Brigid Kosgei

This Kenyan runner beat her personal best by 4 minutes to become the fastest marathon runner on October 13.

Kosgei is the first woman to complete a marathon in less than 2 hours and 15 minutes. The previous record was unbeaten for 16 years but Kosgei finished with 2:14:04 on the clock and hopes to break this record by finishing 2:10.
