Emmanuel Obetsebi Lamptey

Emmanuel Obetsebi Lamptey was one of the founding fathers of Ghana and the founders of the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC).

A member of one of the strongest opposition to Nkrumah’s CPP, Lamptey was detained for his role in the supposed plot to overthrow the government.

He died in 1963 at the Nsawam prison.
