Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga had been together and gotten engaged before calling it quits after a decade. Apparently, the couple had issues before landing into custody fight over their child.

Otunga wanted the singer to pay for his home amid claims he is their son’s primary caregiver but Hudson was rejected Otunga’s claims in court.

“Nothing entitles David to live in a home identical to Jennifer’s, and “having a child with a celebrity should not be the basis to treat David like someone who has given birth to a child and who has no means of supporting the child,”  Hudson said in court documents, according to The Blast.

However, after about two years of a custody battle, both parties have reached an agreement. The details of their child support and custody agreement have remained private.
