Mandaza Kandemwa…TreeHugger

Mandaza Kandemwa

Mandaza Augustine Kandemwa is a Zimbabwean nganga or traditional healer.

His journey began when as a young boy, he was afflicted with a serious case of water spirit disease.

A steadfast Christian, Kandemwa did not believe he was called to be a traditional healer until his job as a police consultant and school administrator caused him to be transferred to a Ndebele-speaking village. It was there he was approached by a stranger who happened to be a Nganga and Kandemwa was initiated as a healer.

“As a vessel of the Spirits, Mandaza receives visions and dreams, makes offerings, performs healing rituals, and serves as a messenger for the Ancient Ones,” as quoted from his website.
