Wendy Fitzwilliam
Fitzwilliam won the 1998 Miss Universe held at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, making her the third woman of color and the second Trinidadian woman to ever win the Miss Universe crown.
The victory came just two months before her final examinations at law school and it set her on a path to become one of the world’s most celebrated and well-known media personalities from the Caribbean.
She was admitted to the Trinidad and Tobago Bar in 2000.
