One person asked, “Why did she wear that?….You would wear sheer with your a– out at a special moment like that? As a parent? Toni is beautiful we all know that, im just saying not appropriate for a child’s graduation, another observer added.”
Braxton did not react to the comments. She later shared a video of her emotional son shedding tears as he stood in line preparing to walk across the stage.

In her caption she wrote: “I got the best Mother’s Day gift! My son is officially a Howard University Graduate! I’m so proud of you @diezel.braxton and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish! You did That! Proud #BoyMom.”
Toni is said to have a soft spot for revealing outfits, but it seems her followers want her to be cautious of the appropriate time to do so.

In October 2023, Braxton said that she was doing considerably better following a health scare, which had her showing signs of the autoimmune disease systemic lupus erythematosus.
At the time, she was said to be experiencing both “good and bad days.” The 56-year-old emphasized that while she could still stand up on stage and act, she was aware of her limitations.
“For me, occasionally taking the stage or performing has always been difficult. I won’t argue against it,” she noted.
“I wasn’t going to the doctor, and if someone hadn’t pushed me, I might not be in this situation right now if I hadn’t visited the doctor. Going to the doctor and getting that blood test literally saved my life. I’m still here today, because of that,” she added.
