Heritage Africa – 1989
Heritage Africa follows the life of Quincy Bosomfield, a Ghanaian who succumbs to westernisation as he gets an education and becomes district commissioner. Set in 1955 when Ghana was still colonised and referred to as the Gold Coast the movie shows the life of Ghanaians in the last few years of colonisation and direct contact with the British. It was written and produced by Kwaw Ansah who also produced another classic Love Brewed in the African Pot in 1980, which became the first privately financed feature movie.
