Reunification Monument
Standing as one of the most significant representations of Cameroon’s rich history, the Reunification Monument is a product of the creative work of renowned Cameroonian artist Gedeon Mpando. The monument, which was created in 1974, represents the much needed reunification of the Cameroonian people after years of slavery, colonization, and division. It also represents the reunification of French-speaking and English-speaking Cameroonians, depicting a hopeful bilingual country.
