7. ‘Once a Slave’ by Project Monkz, feat. Maulana (Ghanaian)

Regarded as one of the greatest African hip-hop songs of all time, “Once a Slave” is an African song meant to revolutionize the Black man’s mentality, especially regarding slavery and his resulting inferiority complex. The song was a collaboration between Project Monkz and Maulana that was released back in 2006.
