Nowhere In Africa (2001)
This autobiographical drama is based on a German novel by Stefanie Zweig, which tells the story of a German couple that relocated to Kenya to escape the Nazis. Threatened by Hitler’s autocratic reign, a Jewish lawyer Walter Redlich, played by Merab Ninidze, moves with his wife Jettel, played by Juliane Kohler, and daughter Regina, played by Lea Kurka, to Kenya. The film highlights some of the difficulties that a typical alien family will go through in an attempt to settle in a foreign land. The film made a total of $6 million domestic sales.
