One never loses inspiration when it comes to fulfilling their dreams. The film “Elevate,” traces the struggles of four Senegalese boys who are admitted into a boarding school in hopes of becoming NBA basketball players.
The boarding school in the movie, SEEDS Academy, is an actual institution founded by former Dallas Mavericks scout, Amadou Gallo Fall. The school’s mission provides support for international students assimilating into American culture. It also provides them with the necessary academic and personal skills to succeed.
This documentary-based film re-enacts what it means to be motivated by the stories intended to improve the African image. The plot also expresses the hunger that seeks for opportunity wherever it lies.
Production for the movie lasted a bit over four years, in time to capture the transforming journey of these young boys.
A lot of buzz is circulating about the date of release for the film, but the details have not been confirmed. For more information, visit the website: http://elevatethemovie.com/
